🧭 Math Worksheet

The math in this class is very manageable, but there occasionally is a bit of algebra. I can help you when we get to it.

Most of what you learn in an Algebra I class will not be used. The core of a preliminary course in Algebra is learning how to solve simple equations with a single variable. These equations involve addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division as well as parentheses, and occasional fractions and decimals. Simple exponents are also used.

The problems on the following page are my personal take on some of the skills that I would like my students to have during sections. Problems are on the first page, solutions on the following pages.

If you find the first five problems straightforward and the remaining non-extra-credit problems doable, you should be all set for the course. (You don’t need to know the extra-credit problem - it is the hardest algebra in the course, and I can teach the relevant skills right when you need them.)
