Library resources
Section titled βLibrary resourcesβ- Library Guide for Harvard Extension School - Overview of Harvard Library spaces, services, and resources, as well as research help, for Harvard Extension School students.
- Business Research for Extension Students
- Both of the above are written by the amazing Mary Frances Angelini (angelini@fas.harvard.edu) and Jonathan Paulo (jonathan_paulo@harvard.edu), both of whom are Research Librarians for the Extension School. When Iβve interacted with Mary and Jonathan, Iβve found them to be very helpful. Feel free to reach out to them if your question isnβt covered in their guides.
- Other guides can be found at guides.library.harvard.edu.
Free periodicals from the Harvard Library
Section titled βFree periodicals from the Harvard LibraryβAcademic study and the financial media are complements, not substitutes. You get more out of doing one when you do the other. Therefore, if you are interested in developing expertise in finance, I recommend following the finance/business media.
You can use your Harvard email to register for a complimentary subscription to the Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times. While they arenβt financial newspapers, the New York Times and Washington Post are also available.
Your feedback.
Section titled βYour feedback.βIt can be very helpful to hear feedback or reviews from other people. If you try using some of the resources on this page, please email feedback on your experience to rob.mgmte2000@gmail.com. By default, I will attribute it to your first name and last initial, but if youβd like me to do it some other way, just let me know.

- (This is actually me. I figured Iβd kick things off by adding my own feedback.)
- Personally, I use the subscription options above to read the Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times, almost daily (youβd never know it because I have a terrible memory for facts ). I access all three via their apps on my phone. Often, I listen to their stories while Iβm doing household tasks using the built-in text-to-speech features (WSJ and FT do this well). Sometimes I queue up stories using each appβs bookmarking feature. Mostly, I listen to stories based on what Iβm interested in, but I naturally also follow professional interests. I encourage you to do the same!
- The last time I used the above services to try to sign up for the New York Times, it didnβt work. I submitted a support request to the library.
